First time driver Kyle from Kennedy High School in Fremont CA greatly enjoyed his first time experience of driving on our closed course, while still very new to driving he relied on his parents experience to help guide him, and overcome his first time jitters. Teaching opportunities flooded the track as the fundamentals were being learned at every intersection. Law enforcement volunteers were also on hand as well to provide a fun experience including pulling over vehicles that were not properly signaling or making full stops. I don’t believe Kyle learned the dedication of these officers firsthand however leading one to believe he is taking excellent first steps. Overall it was a very successful day on track for Kyle as fun was had, and more importantly experience was gained.
First time Student Tehya from Livermoore High School was out with her parents on our closed course, and excelled with her first driving experience. Due to Tehya lack of previous driving instruction she was more then a little nervous about driving, but came around before too long and had a very successful day on the course. We look forward to Tehya's continued participation in the program and are confident that with her parents continued instruction and practical experience Tehya will develop into a very mature and responsible driver. First miles on what Get Real Behind the Wheel hopes is a long safe journey.
